Barber’s Carpet Cleaning is a family-owned and operated business proudly serving the Cleveland area since 1977. Founded by Frank Barber and his son Tony, the company began with a simple portable machine packed in the trunk of a 1973 Impala. Today, we continue that same dedication to quality and integrity—now operating with Tony and his son Nick, with a modern truckmount machine, and some of the industry’s most advanced cleaning equipment & chemistry.
For nearly 50 years, Barber’s Carpet Cleaning has evolved with the cleaning industry while staying true to our family values. As a third-generation, locally owned company, we take pride in offering honest, dependable, and personalized service to every customer—whether it’s for carpet, tile and grout, or upholstery cleaning.

Tony Barber
Upon graduating from high school in 1977 in Cleveland, Tony founded the business alongside his father, Frank Barber. With nearly 50 years of experience, Tony has witnessed—and adapted to—the evolution of the cleaning industry firsthand. His strong work ethic, personable approach, and commitment to high cleaning standards have been the foundation of his long-standing success.
Nick Barber
Nick has been part of the floor cleaning industry since childhood, learning the trade firsthand by watching and assisting his father as early as age nine. After completing his undergraduate degree and earning an MBA in Michigan, he returned home to continue his role in the family business.
Over the past decade, Nick has focused on learning and growing within the cleaning industry—studying best practices, consulting with top-level cleaners nationwide, completing IICRC courses, and applying that knowledge directly to the business.
